In what format should I send my manuscript?

Manuscripts should be emailed as a single Word attachment to email@freshinkbookediting.com, double-spaced and paginated.

Is the half-on-agreement deposit refundable?

If you decide after agreeing to work together and paying the half-on-agreement deposit that you no longer wish to work together, you will receive 1/2 of the deposit back.

What methods of payment do you take?

I take Paypal and Zelle. You can use Paypal with a debit or credit card, even if you do not have a Paypal account.

Will you refer me directly to agents?

No.

How many rounds of editing should I get?

This is a very personal question, but I would recommend to pay for no more than two on the same manuscript if you plan to seek agent representation.

Do you provide writing coaching?

As an amalgam of the services listed on the services page. Phone consultation could be seen as writing coaching. I also have done continuous line editing on chapters as clients produced them (Chapter by Chapter service.)

Are you going to fix grammar and spelling mistakes?

Maybe, a few, but not all. That falls under copyediting. If I’m tied up correcting those mistakes, I can’t give the developmental feedback that I specialize in.
